Postpartum & Newborn Care Support

night nanny kansas city

Where are you from and what brought you to Kansas City?

I am a Kansas City Native, born right here in the 816. Although I love traveling, so far nowhere else feels like home.

What services do you provide and what made you interested in Doula?

I am honored to support families as an overnight postpartum Doula with Oh Baby KC, as well as provide fertility and birth support through my company, The Joyous Rebirth Doula Co.

I was born with a nurturing soul and a caretaker heart, thriving on community and connection. This showed up in many ways, from supporting loved ones during big life changes, to facilitating women’s Bible study. In college I pursued a BSN and quickly found that it did not align with how I envisioned serving my community. Around the time my first son was born, God placed birth work on my heart. Fast forward a few years and a few more sons later, I was ready to begin training with DTI to become certified as a full spectrum Doula.

This calling has been nothing but a blessing to walk into. I am so humbled by my amazing clients who share their sacred space with me, and the birth workers who have come before me.

What are your long term goals?

My long term goals are to become certified in FAM (fertility awareness method) and to become a certified Herbalist with an emphasis on Womb health.

What are 3 of your strengths?

Intuitively reading people and the “the room” to access how I can best support them in the moment. Some people call it being an Empath, some people call it just caring a whole lot.

Holding space and supplying you with the comfort and safety to take off anything you are carrying and show up just as yourself.

Empathetic listener. Hearing you and what you have to say, holding you in that, allowing you to feel and move through it.

What are 3 things you enjoy doing?

Most of all, I love being a wife and a mom. My hobbies include anything outdoors (preferably hiking), thrifting, and live music.
